{"id":873,"date":"2014-06-19T12:49:21","date_gmt":"2014-06-19T11:49:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.zens.info\/phot\/en\/?page_id=873"},"modified":"2025-07-10T21:05:53","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T20:05:53","slug":"selected-poems","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/zens.info\/en\/writing\/selected-poems\/","title":{"rendered":"Selected Poems"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Wide View<\/h2>\n<p>On the Rothorn<\/p>\n<p>The Mira star<br \/>\nHardly visible now<br \/>\nDoubly concealed<\/p>\n<p>This portion of sky<br \/>\nDescending to earth<br \/>\nLifting the light of day<\/p>\n<p>The sun touching the rocks<br \/>\nHere I stood in disbelief<br \/>\nNot to be alone<\/p>\n<p>By the light of the Laterna Magica<br \/>\nMy hearing<br \/>\nExposed to the echo<\/p>\n<p>Of silence<br \/>\nThat breaks itself<br \/>\nTo reach into the wide<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Descending<\/h2>\n<p>Attempting to make sense<br \/>\nOf what one hears from the eagle<br \/>\nWhen he tries to learn from ravens<br \/>\nAnd wasting most of his time<\/p>\n<p>Listening to the talk<br \/>\nOf domino players what<br \/>\nAre the wolves doing in the tree<br \/>\nThe sunny side being empty<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>In the Valley<\/h2>\n<p>A few pebbles<br \/>\nRolling over the lakeshore<br \/>\nGrains of sand tossed into the air<br \/>\nBeginning on the deepest ground<br \/>\nTo become weightless<br \/>\nLight<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Dream and Truth<\/h2>\n<p>On the skin of fishes against the scales<br \/>\nThe blueness of blue<\/p>\n<p>For the modern nomad<br \/>\nWhite paper and quarterly report<br \/>\nAnything crossing his path he names<br \/>\nUnquivering in his squareness<br \/>\nMysterious radio signals<br \/>\nFrom the centre of the Milky Way<\/p>\n<p>Surfing electrons<br \/>\nRiding plasma waves<br \/>\nBending aluminium foil<br \/>\nAccelerating protons<br \/>\nWith particle cannons<br \/>\nHe builds a stairway to outer space<\/p>\n<p>For children and old people<br \/>\nDream and truth are one<br \/>\nAnd who will protect<br \/>\nThose who love?<\/p>\n<p>He who speaks with a forked tongue?<br \/>\nAre you William Blake?<br \/>\nYes, that&#8217;s who I am.
