Berlin based photographer, teacher and poet Rosemarie Zens shares images from her journeys on iconic Route 66, the subject of her recent book, Journeying 66. Vom Mythos des Unterwegsseins. The Myth of the Road (Kehrer Verlag), written by Rosemarie Zens. Additional Text by Wolfgang Zurborn. The photographs are testimonies to the legendary Route 66 and the author and the photographer’s collective memories of the 1960s way of life commonly associated with it. Over forty years ago, Rosemarie Zens followed the siren call of freedom on the road, and in 2010 she retraced her journey, witnessing how the highway had been transformed.
